Doula Circle
In 2022, I came together with a wonderful group of Montreal doulas to create the Doula Circle. Regardless of whether you need birth doula or postpartum doula support, you’ll find just the right fit for you in our Doula Circle. No matter if you choose to give birth in the hospital, in a birthing center or at home, we here to support you and your family in birthing your way.
Doula Circle
CONNECTION: "The energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard and valued. When they can give and receive without judgment."

Who We Are
Founded in 2022 by Mika Rock, the Doula Circle is a Tiohtià:ke (aka Montreal) community of birth doulas, postpartum doulas and other birth workers. We’re kind, knowledgeable and super passionate about getting you the support you deserve!
We are a lovely team of 8 birth/ postpartum doulas and perinatal practitioners who are passionate about serving families and providing evidence-based, nurturing care.
Together, we are tapping into our common purpose: BIRTHING FAMILIES.
Serving
We come together with a mindset of community, support and abundance to support you in finding your path and confidence as a parent.
We support each other, lift each other up, share our learnings and troubleshoot together to find solutions for the families we support.
We also work together to update each other on evidence-based information to enhance our knowledge and better support our community.
Lastly, we hold space for each other throughout our celebrations and challenges, decreasing burnout and deepening our wells of support.
Birth Doula Support
Doulas support, guide and nurture the family.
The mother, birthing parent, the partner, and their baby.
We help everyone to provide the best possible birthing experience!
The moment you hire one of our fabulous birth doulas, we are here for you to help you figure out your path and find your confidence through your birthing journey. Our team of birth doulas will be available to support you during your pregnancy, labour, birth and early postpartum. We have time for you!
The right timing to hire a birth doula could be early on in your pregnancy or as late as a few days before your guess date! The benefit of hiring a doula earlier is that we will have more time to get to know each other and build trust for a longer period before you give birth. We want to get to know you!
In our birth doula bags, we bring a variety of options, tools and coping techniques to help you have a more positive birth experience. This includes visualization, embodiment, meditation, postures, breathing techniques, acupressure points, birth affirmations, somatic birth integration, rebozo, essential oils and HypnoBirthing® and more.
Know your options and choices. Have an informed choice every step of the way
Do you want to tap into the feeling that you GOT THIS?
Would you like to have the option to explore in labour what supports you in finding comfort and really works for you?
Are you looking for a safe and calm environment in the birth room (wherever you give birth)?
Do you want to create a support team where your partner can feel supported to show up for you and baby in the best version of themselves?
Would you benefit from having a brave space (where you feel safe and can feel ok to be vulnerable) when you need to make decisions?

I am a Birth Doula and a Student Midwife at NMI. In my work I accompany mothers/birth givers and their partners in the birth process and in their beginning of parenthood. I am a professional presence that connects you during labour with the birthing wishes you expressed before the birth. I am a presence strengthening your inherent abilities.

I see breastfeeding/human milk feeding as both natural and a learned skill. It’s normal to have lots of questions! Just like every birth is unique, every breastfeeding/human milk feeding journey is unique. I integrate my knowledge as a nurse, a doula and a lactation consultant (IBCLC) to provide you with evidence-based information and individualized recommendations
The Benefits of Working with a Doula
Reduced rates for the need of interventions like Pitocin, vacuum and forceps deliveries
Including drastically reduced risk of cesarean section
Higher satisfaction with the entire birth experience
Better APGAR scores for baby
More calm and focus on the bonding and initial breastfeeding in the immediate time after birth
Reduced rates of postpartum mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and psychosis...- and other perinatal mood and anxiety disorders

I’m a mama, postpartum doula, breastfeeding support specialist and holistic sleep coach who is passionate about supporting families in their transition to parenthood. Even before I became a doula, I loved dropping off a warm meal for new mamas and supporting them through the first few months after giving birth. Now, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I love full-time!
